After more than a decade, Sabina Pinot Noir has returned—and it was worth the wait. Our last vintage, crafted in 2013 from Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills, quickly became a favorite for its balance and finesse. Eleven years later, we are thrilled to reintroduce our Pinot Noir, this time sourced from the renowned Russian River Valley, a region celebrated for producing some of California’s most graceful and expressive wines.
Under the continued guidance of our Winemaker, Alejandro Alfaro, our approach remains true to our philosophy: meticulous attention to detail, gentle handling, and small-lot fermentation followed by patient aging in French oak. The grapes were fermented in small wood tanks using 30% whole clusters and aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, then simply filtered before bottling—a process that preserves purity and highlights the natural character of the fruit.
The cool-climate vineyards of Russian River bring a beautiful interplay of red fruit, floral lift, and subtle earthiness, while Alejandro’s craftsmanship ensures the hallmark elegance that has always defined Sabina wines.
Tasting Notes:
The 2024 Sabina Vineyards Russian River Valley Pinot Noir opens with aromas of wild strawberry, cherry compote, and rose petal, framed by hints of clove and subtle forest floor. On the palate, it is supple and layered, with flavors of red currant, pomegranate, and baking spice gliding over a silky texture. Fine-grained tannins and a touch of French oak lend structure and depth, while a lingering finish of cranberry and spice completes this elegant and expressive wine.
Beautifully balanced and refined, the 2024 vintage marks a new chapter for Sabina, one that honors our past while capturing the character and grace of Pinot Noir.
